FAMOUS ARCHITECTS' BUILDINGS:

APPLICATION OF ARCHITECTURAL & STRUCTURAL MATERIALS

In this project, we are to differentiate the structural materials and architectural materials or a building designed by a famous architect. A building with 2 structural materials and 5 architectural materials or more are preferred. The main focus of this project is to understand and study the ideas, concept and properties of the selected materials used in relation to the building design and construction.

SELF REFLECTION
This is a very interesting and exciting project, everyone was researching materials from different buildings designed by different architect, which made the tutorial sessions fun and informative. I enjoyed how we can learn from each other by sharing our findings during tutorial sessions. The problems I faced here was, terrible time management, where I spent way too much time trying to decide on a building to do research on, resulting in me being behind schedule. I thought to myself, that there were still time, neglecting the other projects that needed to be done. I barely made it to the submission time. Another thing I could improve on is the layout of my boards, although being in boxes is easier to separate and differential the materials, but its a bore to look at. Efforts to improve are being carried out, taking notes on how my peers arrange their boards and some advice on time management from my counselor helps.

From this project, I've understood the
