EXPERIENCING PLACE - GENIUS LOCI
To generate design through conscious consideration of spatial typologies, section-plan relationship, contextual conditions and considerations of human scale, natural light, materiality and textures. To document, interpret and analyze the physical conditions of the site and ‘genius loci’ of place and generate design based on the character and conditions of the site context.

CULTURAL HISTORY AS ARCHITECTURE
To identify the Genius Loci / key character / essence of the site and extract the tangible and intangible elements of the site history and culture through visuals, diagrams and sketches, findings and interpretations are conveyed via visual and written narrative.

To understand macro and micro context by exploration, creating solutions and suggestions, and to understand how landscape connection is crucial to the built structure and built environment, in addition to understand scale, spatial, form, materiality relationships.
